This season Ganni produced another beautiful video showcasing their spring/summer 2013 collection. The atmospheric new video mixes home video aesthetics and vulnerable melancholia and leaves viewers longing for long, playful spring days in the countryside.
‘It’s always fun to see our clothes worn in a situation, a movement or a special setting, instead of on a hanger or dummy, so it felt very natural for us to produce a presentation video again this year” says Ditte Reffstrup, Creative Director of Ganni, “Our spring collection is inspired by the intense atmosphere in Sofia Coppola’s movie The Virgin Suicides, and we wanted to build on that feeling, but twisted in Ganni’s own way. Both the collection pieces and the video play with moods from dark and sensual to naïve and uplifting’.
The video was shot by fashion photographer Olivia Frölich and cinematographer Frederik Säll, who were also behind the camera on the last three Ganni videos. The soundtrack is by the Danish band Cours Lapin who mixes French boudoir style with quirky upbeat tempo.
